Checklist
Things to do before you move:

• Book time off work if needed
• If you are living in rented accommodation, give your landlord sufficient notice, and if you have paid a deposit, arrange a suitable time to collect it
• Organise the removals if necessary. If you cant manage to do it all yourself, or have too much things to move, either hire a van, or contact a removals company
• Consider taking out home insurance which allows for accidental damage to items when moving, as a precaution
• Let the telephone company know that your moving home, and tell them the details of your new home
• Start packing non essential items first, for example, clothes that aren't worn much, cd's etc, labelling each box as you go along with "Bedroom - Clothes". It'll save a lot of hassle when you move in
• Mark clearly any boxes which contain fragile or delicate items, for your own assistance, friends and the removals companies to prevent any damage
• Keep a separate box for your emergency moving pack - detailed later!
